Thank you.

If you are reading this, that means that you are one of the amazing people in this world that I am trying to reach. You came across Imperfectly Perfect and felt the need to learn more. For that, I thank you. While learning about iP, I hope you feel the need to take part in changing this world, and getting involved in this organization. My story is on the website, so you can understand my background and the experiences which have contributed to me becoming the woman I am today: but I am writing this introduction because I want you to understand about Imperfectly Perfect. I want you to see my vision. Being Imperfectly Perfect, is about embracing your self. It’s about recognizing and seeking the positive in any situation; even the toughest ones. It’s about committing to a positive mindset and making progress every day, by choosing positive choices in every area of your life. It’s about treating people with dignity, compassion and respect.. After experiencing a life altering situation, , it’s about realizing the lessons and the positive aspects that these life altering situations make it possible for you to learn. The most difficult situations in life, force us to learn the greatest lessons about ourselves and about life; this is why we should be proud of them and proud of ourselves for overcoming these experiences. Everyone has a story in life. An experience that by sharing can positively change someone else’s life and add a great deal of reflection and empowerment for yourself.

A misconception about Imperfectly Perfect is that when people hear “life altering experience” or “difficult situation”, they assume a traumatic event, such as a car accident or disease. However, iP, defines a life altering experience as an event which you have learned or grown from. These different events happen all of the time and can encompass anything from having such an extensive knowledge about life due to living with a disease; to trusting your gut and following your dreams only to succeed. I have found that when you come across a fork in life’s road, its easier to have someone there to relate and support you. Perception is everything and sometimes people need a little reminder of that these experiences need to be shared; because someone, somewhere is going through the same thing and doesn’t know what to do or how to feel. Simply sharing your story and connecting, can make all the difference.

When I was creating Imperfectly Perfect, one criticism was that I was too broad. It was suggested that I needed to refine or focus myself down to one or two topics: Well…. that’s not me. I can’t do that, its too limiting. I want to reach and help as many people as possible. I understand that fear of the unknown can be a very difficult and I don’t think it matters what type of situation gives you that fear or emotion. What matters is how we deal with it and move forward. Of course, no two people can experience the identical situation, but having someone to relate to and to either motivate, inspire or support you can be a very powerful tool. Another goal of mine, is to educate people on necessity of not only having a positive attitude, but also leading a positive life. This will include physically, emotionally and spiritually positive. I want to help educate others on different ways to positively influence their life and to educate them on the importance of not just understanding the physical world, but the nonphysical as well. Einstein once said “Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred” and this applies to everything!

All of this is because I have a passion for wanting to help others. Its something that I feel in my soul and I want to find people who have this same passion as I do. I want to help change and improve as many lives together as we can. I know that these other people are out there, because I have been blessed to cross paths with many of them already. I want to raise money, so that iP can provide financial support to people who need it in order to get their lives on track and better themselves. This can be something as simple as helping a family buy their child books, but can be as extensive as paying for a surgery or necessary medicine. My point is, I want to make a difference and I want you to make it with me. I want to change the way people view the world and the way people view each other. Instead of judging, I want people to to view each other with curiosity and genuine caring and respect for one another. I want to change peoples mindset so that they can approach any situation in life with a positive attitude and healthy spirit. My Dream is that someday people will realize they can break their bounds and over come any obstacle in life. With my life and my story, I want to inspire. I didn’t let heart disease or heart surgery limit me; instead I used it to motivate me. I could have let my condition shape my life negatively, but instead I took control and kept pushing through because that is what you need to do in life. You cant give up. You need to fight, you need to make progress and you need to grow.

I know I have already told you, but this is by no means something I can do alone. This is a group effort. What I have shared with you are my ideas; and I am eager to hear yours. Not everyone involved in this organization is a licensed or trained professional; some of us are just caring individuals who would go out of their way for a stranger…and sometimes you need just that. To get involved with iP, you are able to be minimally involved or take on active daily or weekly responsibilities. The choice is yours. I welcome you. Thank you again for taking the time out to read this. Please feel free to contact me directly: if you want to get involved, if you want more information, if you have any questions or if you want to share your story.

I look forward to meeting you.

Love Always,
Jaime Lynn
